Want to be an trip leader?

Expedition leaders are hand selected to enhance the overall experience of the group. Leaders are expected to make decisions for overall safety of group members, follow a fast paced itinerary, have great communication skills, sign a non-compete, and be committed to following ROAM Humanitarian’s training and culture guidelines.

As ROAM grows, we ask for active participation in recruiting people for your expedition. You are responsible for filling 10 spots on your expedition. Once you have fulfilled your quota of 10 participants, your two team lead trip expenses will be paid, less the cost of flights. You will be responsible for flights to and from the destination. Please book airfare as soon as possible with ROAM’s in-house travel agent or on your own. Booking early is ideal as many from your group will want to purchase your same flight. This helps many team members feel more comfortable in their travel.

You may add up to 2 immediate children to your expedition with the benefit of $750 off expedition fees per child (up to $1,500 total). Children attending with you will need to be 12+ years old so you can keep your primary focus on leading the team.

Please be aware that trip fees will be prorated if the 10 participant quota is not filled at a rate $300 per person. For instance, if you only recruit 8 people for your expedition, you would be responsible for $600 of your expedition fees.

In order to be considered for an expedition leader role, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Have traveled with Justin and Lindsay on a previous ROAM Humanitarian expedition.
  2. Be over the age of 25.
  3. Be comfortable with world travel and have leadership experience.
  4. Be a great decision maker and an effective problem solver in high stress situations.
  5. Construction, medical, and travel experience is a plus.
